Wanganui and Waveriey Stock Quotations. FREEMAN R. JACKSON'S* CO.'S FORTNIGHTLY STOCK REPORT. Wanganui, Wednesday. The yards at Waveriey were filled with a capital lot of really good cattle. We placed nearly all that came forward »t the undermentioned prices which were m favour of the buyers. At St. Hill-streat we sold all that was offered with the ex. ception of some store cows We quota prices 10 per cent under those rulinglast month. All the sheep at the Waveriey yards were sold, and almost two thirds of the St. Hill Street entries found purchasers. The market was glutted with pigs, which «old at lower values, m many cases fully 15 per cent, reductionsha.l to be submitted to. We notice that pigs are selling all over the colony at prices considerably under those ruling this time last year. On Saturday the usual horses and poultry sales were well attended, and prices rule about the same as those of last month. Cattle.— At Waveriey :— 3-yf-old bullocks, 19s to £4t 7s 6d ; 2-yr-old steers, £2 10s to £2 13s ; forward cows, £2 19s to £3 ; weaners, 20s to 225. At St. Hill Street : Fat cows, £8 10s to £4 4s 6d ; 3-yr-old bullocks, £3 9s ; 2-yr-old steers, £2 7s ; steer weaners, 80s ; heifer weaners, 21s. We placed a line of heavy J forward bullocks privately during the week at £5. Sheep.— At Wayerley :— Wethers, 8s sd ; ewes m lamb, 6s ; lambs m wool, 4s lid ; shorn lambs, 3s 6d. At Wanganu : Wethers, 8s to 9s 6d ; ewes m lamb, 7* 6d.
