The unemployed agitation m Auckland still continues. There was no quorum at the meeting of the Hospital Board yesterday, only Messrs Jackson (chairman), Beckett, and West being present. This is the third time m succession that the meeting has fallen through. The Hon. Mr Bryce is expected to travel from Wellington by the overland route on Saturday night.' A. cablegram states that the market rate of dircount has been reduced to 2£ per cent. Mr Wright, when he found yesterday that the Committee would oot allow the schoolroom to be further used to tho inconvenience of the children who had been turned out at his suggestion, went to look for accomodation which he succeeded m obtaining, but the deputation and committee would not proceed m the matter further, and he had to occapy his position with as much dignity as he could muster on the occasion. We are informed by Mr W. Dixon that the man Dixon, referred to by the Waipawa Mail m a local which aDpeared m .yesterday's Standard, was Mr E. V. Dixon forinwly of Palmerston North. .
