Bulls. Thursday,
Since the 4th of May we have have held four stock sales— at Woodwille on the 4fch, Palmerston on the 6th, Sanson on the 7th, and Bnllls on the 11th. The Woodville sale was small, but the Palmerston and Sanson sales were much larger than is usual at this season and very successful, the bidding being brisk and prices satisfactory. At Bulls, however, it was decidedly duller than usual, though we yarded over 2000 sheep and some good pen? of cattle At Palmerston we yarded just on 200 head of cattle and 2000 sheep, and at Sanson 100 head of cattle and nearly 2000 sheep. At Palmerston and Sanson we sold every sheop and nearly every head ot cattle ; but at Bulls u we were not so fortunate, though we managed to dispose of a good many of both classes. We quote : — At Woodville :— Three-yr-old bullocks, £4 ss; cows, £2 7s 6d to £2 15a ; milkers, £4 15s to £5 ; hacks; £4 to £7. At Palmerston : Fat cows, £3 15s ; 2A-vear steers, £8 5s ; two to two-and-a--half year steers,£2 15s to £B ss ; milkers, £3 15s to £5 ; 18-month heifers, £2 7s ; year heifers, £1 7s 6d ; weaners (heifers), £1 ; mixed weaners, 31s ; fat wethers, 9b Id ; dry ewes, 5s 9d ; ewes m lamb, 6s to 6s 3d ;" forward 6-tooth wethers. 8s ; fat sheep, 7s ; lambs, 3s 9d to 5s 2d : pi«-s, 5s to £1, according to size. At Sanson: 2-yr steer.^ £S 3a •, year steers, 33s 6d to 355; weanws, 22s to 295; milkers, £4; store cows and heifers, 36s to £2 ss ; forward wethers, 7s 6d ; store wethers, 7s ; ewes m lamb, 6s 4d to 7s lOd; fat' sheep, chiefly wethers, 7s 6d ; lambs.J 4s 9d to 5i 6d ; pi£3, ss. At Bulls: 2-yr steers, £3 ss; 18---month steers, £3 6d ; cows and "calves (good), £3 15s ; forward wethers, 7» 9d ; fat ewes, 7s 3d to 7s fid ; forward ewes m lamb, 4s v 3d to 4s 9d ; lambs, 6s ; a few hacks were also disoosed of ,
