The South Australian Loan.
(ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH. — COPYRIGHT. ) (SPECIAE TO UNITED PRESS ASSSOOIATJON.) London, May 1. Tenders for the South Australian loan were opened yesterday. There were 550 tenders, covering about £2.000,000. A syndicate tendered for. a third of the loan at £99 4s 6d. Three syndicates tendered for a naillion of the South Australian loan. The official statement shows that £2,711,500 was subscri bed, the average price being £99 9s 6d. [The New Zealand Times has the folwing m reference to the Loan : — l< The minimum price of the loan was stated m a cable message, published last Monday, to be £99. On Thursday we were told that it was quoted at 1 per cent, premium, and on Friday that it was expected to be floated at par."]
