The Indian and Colonial Exhibition.

The following: colonists were among those who were presented to and welcomed H.E.H. the Prince ot Wales at the Indian and Colonial Exhibition : — Sir W. H. F. Mitchell, Sir A. Blyth, Sir Samuel Devonport, Sir F. D. Bell, Sir James Cockle, Hon. Alexander Stuart, Hon. E. C. Baker, Hon. J. F. Garrick, Hon. W. H. Walsh, Dr Vcn Haast, Dr Buller, Messrs Russell, White, S. Coombes, J. Bosisto, R. Burrow, P. G. King, Heinmant, Fraser, and the secretaries of various Commissioners. All the courts were insDected and greatly admired. The principal attraction m the colonial courts were minerals, wool, photographs, the aviary, views of Port Jackson, ferns, and Papuan collection from New South Wales ; gold and wine trophies, wool, painting, furniture, ferns, and timber from Victoria ; native scents, fresh fruit, silver ware, and wine trophy from South Australia : minerals, pearls, shells, and natural history collection from Queensland ; timber, pearls, shells, from Western Australia ; furniture, timber, wool, and moa skeletons from New Zealand. His Boyal Highness expressed surprise at the forward state of the Exhibition, winch, he said, was highly satisfactory India and Canada hare a splendid display.
