Accident to the Governor at Onehunga.

(united press association) Auckland, Monday. His Excellency tha Governor left by special train to-night tor Onehnnga to join the Hinemoa. In soing down the Onefmnga wharf, he got blinded by the ■wharf light, and walked over the wharf into the sea. Mr Noble, the mate of the Matai, which steamer was alongside, jumper! to the rescue, but thel Governor caught, hold of a stringer of the wharf and was hauld tip by the aid of a rope, apnarently uninjured. Fortunately it was flood tide at the time.. His Excellency went on board the Hinemoa, which sails at 8 o'clock to-morrow inornin?. L".dy Jervois and party were on board the Hinemoa at the time of the accident.
