Present—The Mayor, and CreWest, Hawkins, McNeil, Stewart, Gruge. and Hush. - f The Mayor explained to those present the objects of the meeting and the wish of the Council to have the meeting adjourned. Cr Stewart asked how Ion? thelhurcew roll was open for inspection, and was informed by the Clerk to the effect that the roll had ouly been open for inspection throe days. Cr McNeil proposed that the meeting adjourn for 12 days. * Cr Snelson seconded the motion which was carried. The Mayor here stated that the defaulters conld also take advantage of th« adjournment and during the 12 days be. fore the meeting pay up their rates and have themselves placed on the roll. ho meeting then adjourned.
