Volunteer Intelligence.

(UNITED PBESB ASSOCIATION.) Blenheim, Saturday. Marlborough sends 120 Volunteers m the Kennedy to the Easter Encampment, of whom are 40 smart well drilled little fellows of the Borough School Cadets. Major Baillie goes m command. Several excursionists are also going m the same steamer.

VoL.Davies' motion ihat the monthly subscription be abolished was lost. -The Color Sergt. react a letter from Sergt.-Major Henry, or Wanganui, giving a list of what men would require to take to Wanganui, and over 20 names were given as intending to go. It was resolved to form a band m connection with the corps. The Captain and Corpl. Campbell were appointed to arrange for : carrying the corps to Palmerston. Owing to' the resignation of . Sergts. Grinlinton and Walker, the following promotions were made : — Corpls. Campbell and Bono to be Sergeants*; J Vols. Jas. McDonald and Harding to be Corporals, and Vols. Da vies and Albert So wry to be Lance-Corporals. — Examiner.

The programme for the" Easter encampment will be somewhat as foljpws : — Battalion and company drill on Good Friday, company drill Saturday morning, and two brigade drills during the day. On Sunday there will be a church parade, at which the Eev. Dr Harvey will be asked to preach, and on Monday a sham fight and review. It is satisfactory to know that the Railway Department intend offering special inducements to excursionists, tickets to cover two weeks being issued at very low rates.
