Wellington Waste Land Board.
An ordinary meeting of the Land Board was held on Thursday. Present — Mecsrs H. Bunny (m the chair), W. A. Fitzherbert, A. Beese, and Gr. Beetham, -M.H.R.." A telegram was received from the Commissioner (Mr Marchant) atPahiatua, announcing that he was detained by urgent business: ; : . An application from Mr H. Axup, for survey work on the Buahine ranges, was deferred till next meeting. A memorandum was received from the Under-Secretary for Crown Lands, requesting that all unsold small runs be thrown open as soon as possible. Agreed ! to. ' . The Kiwitea Road Board wrote m re- ' ference to the allocation of expenditure of deferred payment thirds m its district. It was decided to ask for approval of selectors to be sent. ' Mr Howorth waited on the Board on behalf of the General Gordon Special Settlement Association, and pointed out that there were SO or 60 settlers waiting to go on to the laed. It was decided to sell the land applied for by the Association on deferred payments as already arranged. This was all the business.
