G. M. Snelson and Co report that their sale at the Fitzherbert Street Yards was fairly attended. The bidding was m accordance with the times, only two lots being passed over without a bid ; for the balance every, lot was bid up to its present market value although not sold on account of the reserves beins too high. We sold under the hammer, beeeding ewes, 6s B<i ; fat wethers, 8s 5d ; store wethers, at 7s 2d ; lambs, 4s 6d ; small beef, £5; milch cows, £3. After the sale we quitted store wethers 7s 2d, and breeding ewes ss. Buyers were present to purchase heifers and 2-year steers m auy quantities that might be offered.
