(UNITBD PRESS ASSOCIATION) •, Auckland, Wednesday. A lad named Manro, a seaman on the barque Cabartedle, now loading at Holensville, was killed by falling between the vessel and the wharf, and a barrel of water rolling over him. He was a son of Captain Munro, who was drowned m the Agnes Bell, two years ago. A bushman named Moat, .at Matter's I bush, has ciit his throat. He is not expected to live. Donedin, Wednedsay. Mrs Beatrice Scott, wifo of John Bor- l land, steward of the Rotor ua, yesterday took nn overdose of chloroform, and died from the effects. She was 28 yean of age.
