MESSRS LAERY AND CAMPBELL'S REPORT.
Wellington, Wednesday Evening. We report steady, business. at about last week's quotations, the fluctuations being but few, and for. wholesale lines we now quote : — Flour, £9 to .£9 10s ; pollard, £5 10s and £6 ; bran, £5 10s to £5 15s ; oatmeal, £12 to £12 15s ; pearl barley, £17 ; maize, 4s 3d ; oats, 2s 4d to 2s 6d ; chick wheat, 3s to 3s fid ; chick barley, 2s to 2s 6d ; chaff, £4 to £5 10s ; potatoes continue to be m a most unsatisfactory position, it is next to impossible to obtain prices demanded m the producing districts ; salt butter, B£d to 9d ; cheese, 5s to 6d ; honey, BJ d to 4d ; hams and bacon (mixed), Banks and Dimbck's 8d to Sid; eggs, Is 6d to Is 8d (very scarce) ; onions, £7 to £9 ; fowls, 3s 6d ; ducks, 3s 9d to 4s per pair' ; iurkeys, 4s to 5s each. On Friday we disposed of a consignment of bacon pigs and porkers, which averaged about 20s each.
