; Auckland, Friday. Horses—There was a marked improvement m the market last Friday, both ai ■• to supply and demand, and prices had a slightly upward tendency, and competition was steady throughput the sale. We quote hacks from £7 to £14 ; ligßt harness horses, -from £8 to £16 ; meditmr--draughts, from £17 to £23. '^ Wool, Hides, and Skins — Improved supply and spirited demand. Hides sold at from 3£d to 4fd ; wool, s£d per fb. Fat cattiile were brought forward -in', sufficient quantities for requirements, top sorts sold relatively higher than those insufficiently up m condition, consequently prices varied from 17s to 20s per 100 ft. Fat sheep were m equal .quantities, ■and sold at the previous weeek s values, Is 4d per 81b, being the highest price for black fleece wethers ; lambs were rather; scarce,- of indifferent quality, .ranging' from 3s 6d to 8s 3d. •■ Pigs.— There was a large number yarded, but there was good competition at front 2£d to 3sd per ft, live weight.
