A CONTRADICTION.
("TO THE EDTTOR OF THE STANDARD.) Sir, — The Times says that the noise from the Salvation Army Barracks on Thursday evening startled Mr McKenzie's horse, and caused the accident. Sir, this is quite incorrect. There was no noise m the Barracks at the time. Before Mr McKenzie got as far as the Barracks those who were locking ' felt sure an accident must happen before long.'. Had it not been for the Salvation Army servioes, which had attracted some people about^itiis uior^t than probable a fatai.accideht would have happened. — I am, &c., Onlooker.
