Waste Lands Board.

The ordinary 'fortnightly meeting of the Wellington Waste Land Board was held on Thursday mor.ning, There were presents-Messrs H. Bunny (m the chan)y W. A. Fitzherbert, A. Reese, and W. W.. McCardle. Schedule 170, showing that 212a Sr 23p at an upset price of ;£340 16s Jd had been sold since thelust meeting, was read and approved. . With regard to Mi- Axup's application to lease about 3000 acres on the Ruahing Range, a report was read from the District Surveyor on the laxd, &c. On the motion of Mr McCardle, seconded by Mr Fitzherbert,. it was decided that tie land be surveyed as soon as possible. with the object of offering it on the. small run system. Mr J. McMillan applied to purchase part of Pahiatua Township Reserve, ou which he had effected certain improvaments. A report having . been read from the surveyor on the matter, it was decided to allow the application to stand adjourned until next meeting. Mr Mossman, selector of section ,9j Block IV./Makini, wrote to the Board, stafc.ing^thatu-he bought the land under the impression that the sections would be of small 'area. It was resolved to inform Mr Mossman that tho Board sees no cause, to alter the scheme of sections.
