DEATH OF THE THIRD OFFICER.
Monday. Mr Laker, third officer, took a turn for the better and strong hopes of recovery were held out, but yesterday afternoon he underwent a relapse, the spasms again set in, and he was suffering greatly for some hours before he died, which' was at midnight. All the men at the hospital are reported to be doing well.
