In view of the constant talk about! the imminence of a dissolution of the. House q£ Representatives, it behoves' every one who has the qualification to see that his name is on the electoral roll, "the. qualification is so wide that it prac-i tically includes every man of ihe age of; 21 years old. It is set forth as follows in section 2 of tjhe Act >— . : Every man of the age of twenty-onei years or upwards having, of hig own; right and not as a trustee, a freehold es-; ta'te in possession situated within any; electoral district of the value of twenty-: five pounds, whether -subject to incuui- ; brances or not, and of or. to which he has been seized or entitled either at law or in; , equity for at least six calendar months before the 'registration of his vote, is! entitled to be registered as an elector; and to vote at an election of members for such district for the House' of Representatives ;;or every man of the age of twenty-one years or upwards who has resided in the colony for one year and in the electoral district for which he claims. to .vote, during the six months immediately preceding the registration! of his vote, and is not. registered in respect of a freehold qualification under this Act for the same district, is entitled to be registered as an elector and to vote, at the election of members for such district for the House of Representa-; tives. . ; As to ithe. procedure to be taken by anyone who desires tp obtain the, fran-; chise' that' is' very simple. AH that is necessary is for the person claiming to obtain a printed form at the office of the registrar, fill it up according to the plain directions which it bears on its'face, and to hand it in : to the registrar.
