Fire Brigade.
The Fire Brigade practice, held last evening was attended by 13 members and subsequently by others 'wiib could not ! come earlier on account of dramatic rehearsal. Ladder and engine ; . practice was proceeded with at the buildings adjoining Messrs -Welch & Coi's stationery warehouse, and capital progress made in the use of the engine and hose. The latter it was found wilhthrow forward a •jet of, w^r^ to .the of 90 feet. The Captain; of Ihe Brigade 1 informed i ] the meinhirs' that ? orf thS 'return bf-Mr i Ferguson from Wanganui a meeting of thejexecntive committee wpnld be held, and arrangements' made relative touniforms, &c. ■ . _ .
