A mass meeting of unemployed was held m Hyde Park to-day under the auspices of the Socialist organisation. There was an enormous attendance, fully 40,000 parsons being present. Burns, a leading Socialist, against whom proceedings have been taken m convection with the late disturbances, m the course of his address predicted that bloodshed would ensue unless the social reforms asked for were granted.
