Entertainment m Aid of the Public Schools.

With regard to, .the .entertainment tomorrow night at the Foresters' Hall, there seems to be some misapprehension both ;as -tb^ its nature and object. The views of Wales and Egypt are both artißtic ; ana\ interesting m treatment and m great vanety of subjects. ; The lecture will be short and descriptive of the scenery represented. The musical interlude will be of more than usual merit and attraction, as it will introduce several performers new to a Palmerdton audience, and contains several . novelties m the shape of action songs, and a violin solo by an amateur of exceptional ability. The object of tlae entertainment is to assist m raising funds for building some shelter during playtime for ; the children attending tlie State Schools. It is perhaps not well known that a circular from the Premier intimated to the various Education Boards that their funds were not to be ustd for such purposes m old established districts. Hence the repeated refusals of the Boardf. tfc grant money to the local' committee ; for this object. We would, thoref ore,, uree parents to strongly assist those who are giving^their.aid.at this performance, and thus secure a good evening's amusement for them -elves, and at , the same time enhance the future comfort of their children.
