OFFICIAL LIST' OF THE NEW CABINET.
(by electric telegraph.— copyright.) (ruiteb's telegrams.) London. Feb. 3. Mr Gladstone has been successful m his efforts to form a Ministry. The following is the official list of the members of the New Cabinet and their portfolios: Eight Hon. W. E. Gladstone, Premier and First Lord of the Treasury; Sir I Farrer Herschell, Q.C, Lord High Chancellor; Earl Spencer, Lord President of the Council ; Eajl Granville, Secretary ■ of State for the Colonies; Lord Rqseberry, Secretary for Foreign Affairs; Eight Hon. Hugh Childers, Secretary for the Home Department ; Earl Kimberley, Secretary of State for India ; Rifht Hon. Henry Campbell Bannennan, Secretary of State for War ; Right Hon. Sir Wm, Vernon llarcourt, Chancellor of the Exchequer ; Marquis of Ripnn, First Lord of the Admiralty ; Mr John Morley, Chief Secretary for Ireland ; Right Hon. A. J. Mundella, President of the Board of Trade ; Right Hon. Joseph Chamberlain, President of Local Government Board ; Mr Charles Russell,- Attorney-General ; and Right Hon. George Otto Trevelyan, Chief Secretary for Scotland. The portfolios of Lord Privy Seal and PostmasterGeneral are not yet filled. It is announced that Mr Trevelyan, the Secretary for Scotland, Mr Mundella, President of the Board of Trade, and Mr Mortley, Secretary for Ireland, will have seats m the Cabinet.
