(electric telegraph. — coprright.) ; (reuter's telegrams.) Hobart, Tuesday. In the Federal Council to-day, W. Griffiths' Bill, fixing the status of foreign . companies, was under discussion, and after a long debate the consideration of the subject was adjourned. A resolution was passed recommending united action on the part of the colonies wi*h the -Imperial Government, m the fortification of Albany and Torres Straits. The question of the ereciion of a hgthouse on the Cape Xeenwin was not pressed and was eventually withdrawn.
