TEE FOXTON . RACE MEETING. T XTO.^HE- EDITOR Off TH&£TAji:p£gp.) Sißj— ln the report m the lpcal paper of the meeting of the Racing Committee, .after enumerating the amounts paid to, owners .of winning horses, it says :— . '" Other accounts, amounting to were passed for payment, and the meeting { theri separated.". Now Sir, what were the accounts that made, up this sum of £160 ? I think the public have a rightto know what these accounts were for, as it 'seems to. me a large sum to be. lumped, without any items or explanation! There is too much of this hole and corner busi.ness m this place. "Why were not some of the principal amounts, at any rate, m this.£l6o, stated? .Everything, may \ be 'allfair and square, but the Committee must expect expressions & of disatisfaction unless •thyiirs are done, m a different way. I shall be'gliid if>you can get this letter m Saturday d paper • if .possible. — I am, Bona Fides.! . F6itotf,r.v i- ? ;: " > ! J Friday evening.' ■ s' r ! "
