A fatal explosion of dynamite occurred on the Opawa River on Saturday. Two men were engaged removing a snag, and were rowing away after placing the fuse beneath, when at a distance of only five yards the explosian took place. Both men were blown out of the boat, and one of them, Wm. Eden, & married man with two children, was stunned and drowned." "Hisl)ody was recovered. An inquest was held this afternoon. The other man clung to the boat and got out m an half conscious state. No reason is yet given why the fuse which was two feet long went off so soon. '
