TT 1878, and is now rising five years old ; sire Fowler's Wallace, dam Maggie ; is ii rich brown, is Xii hands high, has a clean, flinty bone and nice hair, and is very active. His .sire, the pure imported Clydesdale horse, Fowler's Wallace, bred by Mr Donald Mclvinley, Wouldham Hall, near Gloucester, out of a pure Clydesdale mare, bred by Mr J. N. Fleming, CauipI belton, Scotland ; her sire, the celebrated horse Lofty Wallace, gained several first prizes before leaving the Old Country. Maggie was bred by Mr Sutherland, Taieri, Otago, out of a Napoleon mare, by Sir William Wallace (imported). Sir WiUiam Wallace bred by William Anderson, Esq., Kirkmichael, Ayrshire, out of Brisk, by Garibaldi. As a yearling took first prize lat Maybole, Kirkmichael, and Glasgow, and second at Ajx As a two-year-old, second at xVyr and G lasgow, and also second at the Highland Society's Show held that year at Edinburgh ; and when only three days lauded m Otago took second prize against horses of all ag. i s at the Taieri, although only 2£ years old.
