The Public Works Department inviU tenders for the erection of a Government Printing Office m Wellington, MrT. Cranwell was about to-day on a stick, feeling rather shaken aftef hit spill on Saturday. He had no doubt •> very narrow escape from a serious, and possibly fatal accident. Had he not managed to free his foot, the chances, are that his injuries would bare resulted m his bsing killed, as it would hays been impossible to check the mad career of the horse m order to reicus him from his perilous povitiou. The .Star says that Mr BeJlva't Hotel, at Feilding, has been thoroughly renovated. The whole of the work has been well and faithfully executed by Messrs R. and E. Tin gey. The writing above the front door has been remark* ably well done, reflecting great credit on the artist.
