Standard Christmas Supplement.

Oar parcel of Illustrated Christmas Supplements arrived this morning, just m time for distribution with Thursday's issue. "We think our readers m town and country will be very well pleased with the Supplement, which comprises four pages, and contains a number of complete tales, all exceedingly interesting. It will be remembered that our last Christmas Supplement unfortunately went astray, .through being misdirected by the publishers to Aucldand instead of Wellington. Oh this occasion we are pleased to be able to fulfil our promise, and to deliver Ja Supplement with each copy of the Standard. An extra number of copies of the paper will be printed on' Thursday, as several of our town and : country agents have already sent m requests for ah increased supply, m anticipation of the Christmas Supplement, to which many are looking forward with much pleasure. We can assure our readers they- will not be disappointed, as the Supplement contains a capital selection'of well compiled reading matter, comprisih? four pages, with ten illustrations. Every tale will be perused with interest, as all are commenced and ended m the Supplement, and will furnish a long afternoon's reading of a kind that must be appreciated by every reader.
