WHITE HEAT CHEEK.
(TO THE TSUITOU OV THE STANDARD.) Sir,— l was rather surprised this morning to roccivc a message from a boy to the effect that lvis employer had sen; me a loaf of Inroad as a sample to &ho\v me how to make one. I was rather taken aback ; 1 did not open his treasure, but returned it with thanks. I am very much mistaken or I baked bread long before ho knew anything about the trade. I have been for this last twenty years amongst tradesmen . ami never head, of such a dirty action being done to a fellow- tradesman. I f the man had had the eonrago to coraft himself ho would have met with areceptian he might not have anticipated. I can only put the affair down to constitutional ignorance on his part. Where there hifts been no education you .cannot expegt much common sense. — I' am, &0., . John D. Fraser, . p.'g, — I am informed that another baker received a similar message this morning.
