A Sad Case.

Mrs Francis, the wife of a settler on the Ashurst-Feilding road was to-day sent away for treatment at the Lunatic Asylum m Wellington. The poor woman was rather violent.and her excited condition was most pitiable. On inquiry we learn that recently she lost- a child, to which she was very much attached, and which bore - a strong resemblance to unother little one which had previously passed away. The double bereavement caused the poor mother to brood over her loss, with the sad result that her mental state became" snch that temporary seclusion 'became imperatively necessary. Much sympathy has been manifested for the afflicted creature and her husband, by those who are conversant with the melancholy circumstances. It is to be hoped that good results will attend her, treatment and that she will be speedily restored to complete physical and mental health.
