We have to thank secretaries of the loc.il Friendly Sooiuties for the prompt manner m which they h.ive replied to our request t<i furnish information for irratuitons insertion m our Pictorial Sliest Almanac, now iv course of preparation. Wo would ask as a favour all the other bodies to whom application has been made for special information to forward same at earliest possible convenience. We are usinu: every effort and spilling no expense to have the Almanac as complete a reference for town and country as possible, and we trust to receive assistance from the sources applied to m oiiler that satisfactory results may bo achieved. We are striving to make each successive Standard Sheet Almanac more complete and artistic than its predecessor, and this year we have gone to extra p-iius and cost to furnish a large quantity of useful local information such as our patrons would lind serviceable and cause them to appreciate our. efforts on their behalf.
