Choral Society.
We are pleased to hoar that, a choral society r to be. established on a Bound basis, will shortly be formed m Palmerston. A requisition calling a . meeting for the consideration of the project will be published* m Monday's STANDABD.and we trust all the musical residents of the town will join together m making the affair a thorough success. We are undoubtedly ■ possessed .of sufficient musical talent, both vocally and inatrumentally, to build up a society which <wijl hold .its -place, amongst the many ijtbat have been established m New Zealand, aud we trust that all useless objections,: and anything which might tend to hinder a successful issue will be overruled at the meeting to be held neit week,;and everything requisi te to a desirable consummation be unanimously attained.
