MS FREEMAN R. JACKSON'S FORT NIGHTLY STOCK REPORT. Wanganui, Wednesday. ■ At St. Hill-street to-day the attendance was not up to. the usual number. The cattle all sold at current rates ; sheep jwere dull of sale, and only about half the "entries were disposed of. On Saturday a fair number of horses came forward, and a good' many were sold at current ; prices. All description of poultry meet ! a good market. *My quotations are : — ; CaAtle^Eat cows, ,d 64; to £5 2s 6d; steers, £3 11s ; forward cows; £2 19s ; weaners, 34s to 365., .. ■ • Sheep:^— Fat ewes, 8s 2d to 8s 4d ; wethers, 8s 6d ; fat ewes m wool, 9s 6d. Pigs.— Large piss up to 40s, £4 5s ; porkers, 18s 3d to 24s ; small pigs, 9s.
