He had renewed the insurance on the shed and boats .for the original amount of £48, the policy having expired. He thought they would be justified m procuring a new pleasure boat. A Mr Waters had built a boat house close to the Club's shed and intended to hire out boats by the hour. He also had offered to take charge of the Club's property and keep the key of boat shed Mi" 'JLawUns also thought they should get. another pleasure boat; if Waters started hiring boats out they would find the public patronising him instead of the Club. Mr Bentlev suggested that the reeds growing m the water m the lagoon should be removed as they were a decided nuisance. to inexperienced persons. The fishing stakes it was stated had been taken up. ■.■■>'■ The question of electing a fresh committee was next discussed. Mr Pirani thought that if the: members constituting the present eoujrhittee did, not think fit to attend to their duties they should be dispensed with and- fresh members take their place. v Mr T. King suggested that perhapsit , would be better to call a special meeting for. the r purpose of electing new com~ mittee men. ; • ' This was decided upon, the meeting to take place m a fortnight. , ; : The secretary, Mr Clark, tendered his resignation but the meeting would' not accept the same, and requested Mr Qlark to continue his services for another year, and comolimented him on the energy' and general interest he had taken m the affairs of the Club. .
