Messrs Leary and Campbell report that there has been steady business doing during the past week, and quote :— Flour, ,£8 to £8 10s for crood brands; good whole cluck wheat, 2a 9d to 8s ; bran, £4 10s ; pollard, £5 to £5 10s ; maize, 4s ; good feed oats, 2s 4d's .-oatmeal,.. £ll; i malt, nominally 5s 3d ; but with little or no demand ; hops are: quite unsaleable '; peas, 3s to 3s 3d ; beans, 3s 6d ; colonial jams, 5a to 5s $d ; ; honey, 4^d ;, butter" may be quoted at' Bd, but demand, very, languid ; bacon and ham, 8d ; new cheese, s^d to sid ; lard 6d ; old potatoes are j now dragging ;:Very moch, anft' furfhgri importations would ,-±orce $he (price down below zero; new" pdfcafcoes are m brisk ; demand at £7 per ton ; there are now no onions m the market ; hay is worth about jQ4,; chaff; j£4 to £4. los, per tonl Poultry, remains without alteration.
