Messrs Stead and Jacques, and MeSdames Mourey and Jarrett were found guilty of indecent assault: In passing sentence, the, judge censured Mr Stead for* distorting facts and publishing filthy particulars, thereby disgracing journalism. 1 The entire Press endorse the verdict, and rejoice at the removal of what they term the national stain. S.ParnelU addressing a public meeting at Liverpool last night, made an appeal to Mr Glad, stone to submit to the electors some scheme of government for Ireland which should be combined with the maintenance of the unity of the Empire.
