The Wool Market.
Everj'body must rejoice to hear (writes a Wellington paper), thsis there seems at last some slight promise of improvement m the Ion? depressed wool market. The results of the Antwerp and Melbourne sales, while not displaying any very startling advance, nevertheless show a tendency to an upward movement, which some qualified judges believe may be sustained. If this should happily prove to be the case, it will indeed be a vast boon to New Zealand, which is suffering more from 'the lovy price so long ruling for our chief article of export than from any other single cause of depression. A rise m wool would do wonders m brightening trade generally throughout the Colony, and m improving matters all round. We can only hope that we are on the eve of this desirable change. \ ■
