..;/: • < ! t^MARTON, Saturday./ We held a-Awy iucoessful— stock sale at the Club Y«rds on Friday. The entries of. 'cattle beine: unusally large attracted buyers from all parts ; the bidding was spirited, and prices exceedingly satisfactory to vendors. Over 500 cattle were yarded, nearly ' all of which were sold under the hammer. Sheep: Only 300 came forward, and were quitted, the market, however, being decidedly lower. We quote :— Cattle.— S-yr steers, 12s to £5 ;2yr steers, £3 ; speyed heifers, £2 13s 9d to. £3 6s ; cows and calves, £2 4s to £2 18s ; mixed yearlings, 30s 6d to 33s 6d ; milk cows, £3 9s 6d. ; Sneep. — Wethers m wool, 12s 2d; shorn ditto, 9s 6d.
