Saturday's Supplement.
The serial tale " His One Mistake, "is continued m our Saturday Supplement this week, and those who read the chapters will admit that the gifted authoress has a very powerful way of describing the scenes depicted. Those who have followed, the fortunes of the principal characters await with suspense +he final denouement, that now cannot be very distant. The heroine of the tale is shown to be overwhelmed m trouble, but her devotion, honour, and unsullied purity of character sustain her through all her trials. Ailie Derwent stands forth through all the vicissitudes of her eventful car»er,the true type of a good woman, with whom faith and devotion are part of her religion. Many of our readers will be impatient to know if her virtue and loving trust ultimately receive their reward. There is also a complete story, entitled "The Sheriff's Peril," and a chapter of Prison Horrors. The other parts of the Supplement are capitally compiled, and we have much pleasure m placing before our readers such an excellent ev«ning's reading for the entertainment of the family circle.
