We regret to have to record the death of another old resident, and much res*, pected citizen, Mr E. M. Lowater, formerly m business m Cuba- street as a draper. Mr Lowater came to this colony from New South Wales about 21 years ago, and eight years agoeitablished himself as a draper m Cuba>strtet. Afaiout two years back he took a cold, Which settled on him and turned Jto/con- . sumption. On Saturday he broke a. blood vessei and gradually nnnk, expiring at his resfdence' at 6 o'clock' on Monday rooroing. The deceased <fentleman (who had" retired into- pn rate life about a year ago) leaves a -.- widow and four children to mourr.' their .loss. They are, however, left -m comfortable circumstances, Mr Lowater having been a very, snccessful business <mM.--Poßt.
