A court of the above Lodge was opened by delegates from the Palmerston Lodge last evening, at the schoolhouse, Ashurst, and called Pohangina, No. 7313. The ceremony ot opening the new Lodge commenced at 7.30. The following officers from Palmerston were present :— C.R. Hoe acting as S.C.R., P.C.R.s' Knott, West, Hosking, and Patridge ; S.W. Millar acting as secretary. J. Evans, 5.8.; W. Rawlins, J. 8.; C. E. Hosking, S.W. ; T. Cook, J.W, ; and P.C.R. Grace, opening officer. The following officers were installed :— -B.ro. Khott. C.R.i Broi H, Tremewan, 5.C.8. ; Bro. launders, Secretary ; B.ro. Ruratle, Treasurer; Bro. W. Bray, 5.8.; Bro. Williams, S.W. ; and Bro. Patten, J.W.; the folio n ing visitors were present during the ceremony: — Bro. W. Barrett, Court Woodville ; Bro. Tremewan, Court Feilding; and Bros. Holly, Patten, and Darling, Court Marton. The court closed 9.45, and shortly after all present sat down to an excellent repast, .and heartily enjoyed the good . things prepared. The following toasts were given with usual honors, "The Queen," song by Bro. Cook ; " Prince of Wale* and Royal Family; 1 aong by Bro. Partridge ; " District Officer?," responded to by Bro. Grace, and followed by song "'Jolly good fellows" ; Mr Freoland"also rendering a vocal selection *' Court Mauawatu," 5655, resuonded to by Bro. P.C.R. Partridge, and followed by song from Bro. Rawlins ; " Shepherds," by Bro. Cbdk, responded to by Bro, C.R, Hoe ; "-Court Pohangiua" by Bro. West.
