Regulations for Immigration to New Zealand.

Persons m the colony who are desirous of noinmnt ing their friends m thW United Kingridm. for passego^ by direct steamers to Mew Zealand can do so upon forms which will bo supplied on application to the Immigration Officer, at Auckland, Napier, Nt-w Plymouth, Weilm'jrton, Nels»n, Bli-uliuinj, Christehnreh, Dunedin. Iny.roiirgill, or Hokitika, oither personally or by post. Applications will be con side-red m the following order ---Nomination of separat d families ;" nominatib'»s w)i"TR K'la'ivv.fl nominnfe relafves; nomination of single women who are not included m the above classes. Payment m cash must be made m the colony at the following rates, which will cover all charges of passages, ontfit, and expenses m depot, namely : — All persons over 12 years of age, £10; children under 12 years of 'age, £5; infants under 1 year, free. Under no circumstances will promisory notes be accepted. As a rule nominations will only *be accepted for agricultural labourers, and single women for domestic ! service. Nominations of tradesmen and mechanics will only be provisionally accepted,: subject to the approval of the Hon. Minister for Immigration, who will not grant passages unless under very exceptional circumstances. i Emigr tion ,of Fabjuers and Agri- ' CU TURIBT§ OF SMALL CAPITAL. '2. The Agent-General .will provide! passages for a limited number of persons, who may be desirous of taking up, land m New Zeala.ad at the same rates as are | required to be paid by persons nominating their friends m the colony, "'namely I . £10fore«ch adult, and £5 for each child between the ages of one and twelve years. Berore passages will be provided, ; however, , each bead, of a family must prove to the satisfaction of the Agent-General, that he is possessed iof £100 m cash, and that he is also possessed of cash equal to the* sum of ,£SO , for each member ; of his family over; ,twelye ; yearß of age.. . Persons de>irous of doing bo can arrange to come out m the Secoud class on the above terms by an additional payment equal to the difference between the cost of steerage and K"Cond-ctass^pi'ißßageH. —J.
