Lady Audley's Secret.
Writes a correspondent : — I was sorry not to see a lurger audieuce last evening on the occasion of Miss • Lawrence and hair clever Comedy Company making their second, appearance at the Theatre Royal in -the great drama, Lady Audler's Secret. The . representation throughout was of a most satisfactory kind, the several roles being incompetent hands. Miss Lawrence as the unhappy Lady Audley was most successful, her rendition oi the character being marked by a sublety* intensity, and pathos rarely exhibited m stage productions. Mr Rede was congenially cast as Robert Audley, Mr Dillon sufficiently miserable as George Talboys, and Mr Shiels faithfully delineated the aged Baronet, Sir Michael. Miss Norris as Alicia and Miss Robinson as Phoebe were also deserving of praise. I must say 1 enjoyed the performance entirely,, and do not think anything better or more meritorious has been given m Palmerston. The Company is certainly entitled to public patronage wherever they annear.
