Theatre.

The Lawrence Dramatic and Comedy Company, played " Lady Audley 's Secret,' last evening at the Theatre, and wore, oO course, enthusiastically received. The impsrsonation of the charactors represented m this popular play was all that could be wished for, m fact, such a truthful delineation of the drama we have selloin seen. Miss Lawrence and Mr Rede sustained the primary roles, m their usual masterly style, and were also well supported throughout the piece, by the other members taking part. Character songs and dances, followed by a screaming farce, concluded the performance, which was unusually varied, and attractive. To-morrow, (Saturday) evening, the company perform " East L-vnne" .with Miss Lawrence as Isabel, alias Madame Vaine. . This popular and touching drama will, no doubt, attract a large audience, and we may safely anticipate a treat m witnessing its representatian by the Lawrence Company. In consequence of the Theatre beingengaged for a local' purpose, the company's next- appearance cannot be till to-morrow evening, when a great treat is promised, as m the production of the celebrated and very emotional drama ''East Lynne," m which Miss Lawrence is to enact the part of the unfortunate Lady Isabel, a character, it is said, she has made peculiarly her Own, her recent performance of it m Masterton, being tbe signal for enthusiastic and frequent demonstrations of approval. We strongly advise our readers not to miss the opportunity of witnessing- tlie final performance ot a clever artiste and a competent company iv a play of universally acknowledged merit.
