An Imporant Native Meeting.
(UNITED PHESB ASkSOCIATION.) "Wellington, Wednesday. A laige meeting of the Natives residing on the East Coast of this island and m the neighbourhood of the Hot Lakes .'district will be held m nb&ut a. month for the purpose of considering the land question, and the advisability of passing their lands through the Native Lands Court. A number of Waikato -.Natives are averse to putting their lands through the Court, and are endeavouring to influence others to the sfttue way of thinking. The meeting will bo -held oitlvr at Taupo or Rotorua. The Native Minister has received an invitation to be prssont, whinli he has accepted, and he leaves for Taupo at the end of next month.
