The market for beef remains unchanged, mutton is, if anything, a shade lower, and store cattle of all classes are perhaps a little easier^ buyers bei ng rather shy , owing to the Mckward state of the grass. We succeeded however, m placing a large quantity of stock at fair prices, mostly at auction, and altogether had a very good Cattle.— Fat cows realised £4 15s ; 3 Snd 4-yr bullocks, £5 ; 3 yr steers, £3 5a to M 14s 6d J yearling steers, £2 4s ; mixed yearlings, 35s Gd ; good cows, £2 17s to £3 13s ; store cows, m low condition, £2 35.. / !.. gheep.— Fat wethers, 15s ; good store V wethers, 12s ; hoggets, Bs. . ..." , Pi«-s.— Good porkers, 13s 6d to 15s; bacon pigs, £2 12s to £3 10s ; suckers and weaner.-«, 5s to Bu ''■'■ Horsesu-^Very little business.
