Service of Song at Bunnythorpe.
The Service of Song, " Jessica's First Prayer," was very successfully given at the Bunnythbrpe School-house last evening, the proceeds being m aid of the Sunday School Fund. Considering the very threatening Rtate of the weather, the attendance was . very good. The room was exceedingly tastefully decorated, the arrangement of flowers and evergreens having a very pleasing effect. Mrs Dixon presided at the harmonium, and the readings were given by Mr Dixon. The singers, chiefly children, numbered thirty-six, and one and all acquitted themselves most creditably, ..the 1 rendering of the various pieces farsur ; passing any expectations previously formed by those comprising the audience. The' service throughout was most enjoyable, and was thoroughly appreciated. After the conclusion of, the service, a vote of thanks proposed by Mr Masten, seconded by Mr Bassett, Avas carried by acclamation to the committee of ladies and gentlemen for their services go willingly rendered m: the erection ot the platform and the decoration of the school. Cordial vote "of thank* .- were also carried, on the motion ot Mr Aldfich to Mr ana Mrs Dixon and the choir who had contributed so successfully to tie evenings' intellectual entertainment.
