The; Messrs Napier have received or lers to proceed at once with the co: si ruction of a new vessel, which will U> of .similar dimensions to tye Magneto— B6o tons, 230 ft long, 82ft m breadth, and 24ft deep, and will be i supplied with .conippund ongi lies of 1 400 lioi se-po wer, to "attain a speed of 12£ knots. The now vessel like her predecessor, is intended and will be specially fitted up for lay-> ing, picking up and repairing* the submarine cables of the telegraph company ?foi? which ghe ia> to be built.
