MESSRS HUNTER AND NOLAN'S REPORT.
Horses. — The market was comparatively quiet, last Friday, all the entries being local horses. There was only an ordinary demand, and prices, exceptine m a few instances, had an inclination to recede, but the alteration was not noteworthy. Wool, Hides, and Skins. — Only a moderate quantity brought forward. The demand continues good for, good sound heavy hides at from B£d to 4£d •per 1b; light weight,- 2fd to 3d. Skins from 2s 3d to 3s fid each. •■ - : Fat Cattle.— Modei ativelv plentiful ; well-tatted steers reached 24s per lOOlbs, but green stuff and cows were l-elatively lower, some of the latter receding 15s. Fat Sheep. — The number yarded at Newmarket on Tuesday was an average number. The first lot of shearlings this season, a shipment from Grisborne, were sold at prices averaging from Is 6d to Is lOd .per 81bs:' Lambs from 6s to 14s 6d. are scarce.
