After some evidence had been t'ikc.n, the counsel for the defendant offered, oh hi-r behalf, to close the house and leave the neighbourhood, but the. counsel for the plaintiff, while acknowledging that the 'closing of the house was the primary object, declined to abandon' the case, as on grounds of public morality he was instructed to press for a conviction. The case has been adjourned until Friday.
