AN UNSAFE BRIDGE.

(to the editor of the standard.) Sir, — There is a bridge m Vogel-street that is only decked with timber on one nide, the other halt is rubbish covered over with clay, and someday the Borough Council will be called upon for damages for the loss of a horse and very likely a man. A month or so ago, the Foreman ■repnrte.l it to the Council, and it was referred to the Public Works Committee, but I don't think any of them has been to look at it yet. I suppose they have forgot it, but if I go through that bridge with m}' horse and dray, I shall come on to them for some of the £50,000. Hoping this will meet the eye of one of the Public Works Committee. If you will insert the above you will oblige, A SUBSCRIBER TO YOUR PAPEK. Pahners'.on North, Sept. 7.
